Happiness was original penned on the Autoharp, in the smallest and dankest studio ‘flat’, amongst chaos, grief, the coming of age and a toxic relationship, in the backdrop of West London. The anxiety and uncertainty of the future, formed into the contrasting simplicity of the four chord progression, plus the self reflecting and unashamedly truthful lyrics, make ‘Happiness’ a sound that is timeless and unplaceable. The dynamic range of the vocals reflect the huge emotional range and spectrum that is just beneath the surface of what is too complicated to explain.
