about
'Stars fall out the sky' is a reworking of a song originally sung by Jade Like The Stone when she guested as featured lead vocalist with 'Soul Reality Collective'.
This recording that attracted the best part of 30k Spotify streams and extensive airplay on day time radio.
This new version, taken from Jade's '7 Roads' collaboration with Redtenbacher's Funkestra aka the Masterlink studio band, is an altogether 'heavier' interpretation, featuring the gritty guitar playing of uber guitarist Tony Remy (whose long list of credits include everyone from Herbie Hancock to Annie Lennox) and a driving Hammond solo by Joe Glossop (Tom Jones, Van Morrison etc).
Produced by bassist/bandleader Stefan Redtenbacher, engineered by James Welch and video captured by Leo Mansell, this is a 100% live recording with full credits below.
lyrics
CHORUS
Stars fall out the sky
And I, call your name
Rosanna
VERSE
And if I am the rock you depend on
While the wounds are left to fester
Are you also not the rock
I throw myself upon in some romantic gesture?
This is the one we can not tame
The beast it still remains in all this confusion
And I break my heart in two
And throw each piece to you
Will this theatre find a conclusion?
CHORUS
Stars fall out the sky
And I, call your name
Rosanna
Stars fall out the sky
And I, I call your name
BREAK
If you love someone, then let them know
If you love them fast
You’d better love them slow
And let it show
VERSE
The honeyed hair, the lioness’s stare
It all comes so loaded
Who knows the deal?
Who will show the big reveal?
Will the story be unfolded?
My heart has lost it’s home
It just roams and roams, with no direction
And when the mirror hits the sun,
My mind becomes undone
With it’s reflection
CHORUS
Stars fall out the sky
And I, call your name
Rosanna
Stars fall out the sky
And I, call your name
BREAK
If you love someone, then let them know
If you love them fast
You’d better love them slow
And let them know
And them go, let them go
